MAY 31 - JUNE 12
Presented by the Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Center as a part of the United States of Asian American Festival: Finding Kinship
UxI 2020: Urban-Indigenous Futurism featured a two-week-long festival of virtual events, including performances, visual presentations, and interactive workshops. We also hosted a virtual gallery featuring a diverse showcase of work by select artists. The events featured artists, healers, culture bearers, and knowledge keepers from around the globe.
COVID-19 RELIEF
As the coronavirus continued to make a global impact, we supported members of our community who have been challenged the most. During the time of our event, the Navajo Nation had the highest number of COVID-19 cases per capita in the United States. Throughout the events of UxI 2020, we raised nearly $1000 for a direct donation to the Navajo Nation.
